Below are documents that you can open and print to give you all the information you need to understand the game of soccer and the basics skills that are taught at the youth level.
It is broken out to the expectations we are trying to accomplish with the youth players as they grow older and move into different age groups and understanding the rules of the game. As well as the basic skills we are trying to teach them.
As a parent/volunteer/coach this is a great way to help your child understand and reiterate what we are doing on the field when you are home and at a practice or game if you are volunteering to coach.
Please take a look at this so that you can further help the success of your child and those you are helping on the field.

Expectations and FAQ for coaches and parent volunteers:
How do I help as a parent during Training/Games:
- when there is a scrimmage during a training session or at the end of a training session or if they have a game-coaches and parent volunteers are to read the above spreadsheet provided and set up the team, sub the players and help guide them in the rules and boundaries of a game.
What happens if a trainer or a coach doesn’t show up:
a. If a coach doesn’t show up a parent volunteer should step in and organize a scrimmage
b. If a trainer does not show up the coaches and/or parent volunteers should set up a session for the group to have a scrimmage. If you are in the u5 or u6 group please split the group up into 4 to 6 teams depending on how many kids there are with 4 to 6 players per team. Have a parent for each team. Play a 15 minute game giving them a break in the middle and then switch a few teams around to play another game vs another team.
c. Please utilize the rules and concepts above on the field when helping coach the team and keep the children safe and engaged.
